Key Text: Ruth 1:6
Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, FOR SHE HAD HEARD in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited His people by giving them bread.
What a blessing it was for Naomi that she returned to Bethlehem with Ruth having HEARD that the Lord had visited her people once again. It may have been a total disaster for her if the devastation in her life had kept her from keeping up with the times- knowing what was currently going on, which then informed her decision of returning back home. Both women planned their Journey so well that by the time they arrived in Bethlehem; it was the time of Harvest.
Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest. Ruth 1:22(b)
One key element of successful people is that of staying current and knowing what is important in their career or business at every point in time. Keeping up with important trends, knowing regulations and happening in our environment could help us with preparing for challenges ahead of time, or perhaps prepare us for taking advantage of new opportunities that may show up.
IF YOU DON’T STAY CURRENT, YOU WILL BE SHOCKED BY THE CURRENTS OF CHANGING TIMES
Are you aware and taking advantages of new government policies and infrastructure? Are you aware of new entrants into your industry? Are you aware of the latest technologies and how it is changing the face of business in your market? Have you wisely optimized the use of technology, and do you have a strategy for staying up-to-date?
Would you need to check back the places you had once submitted proposals to see what’s new, maybe reconsider some of the projects you had once abandoned to see if anything has changed, and most importantly, what is God saying to you today?
The currency of this generation is “Staying Current”.
Your harvest will not pass you by.
